Through collaboration with North Carolina Farm Bureau and NC State’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, IFAL (Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders) is a week-long program for rising high school seniors who are interested in careers in agriculture. Focusing on career opportunities and leadership development, participants meet with departmental representatives to learn more about potential majors while also participating in leadership workshops and service opportunities. Students also participate in field trips to visit NC State’s research and teaching farms, meet with agricultural leaders, and explore agricultural industries that are leading the way in the utilization of emerging technology and innovations. At the end of the week, participants have a stronger understanding of agricultural careers along with many new friends from across the state. We hope you will join us for this exciting and engaging week!
